Analytics Policy

Velohost uses minimal analytics to understand how tools are used and to improve reliability, accessibility, and usability — not to track individuals.

1. Purpose of analytics

Analytics at Velohost exist solely to support platform quality and decision-making.

They are used to:

  • Identify broken flows or usability issues
  • Understand which tools are being used in aggregate
  • Improve accessibility and layout clarity
  • Detect unexpected behaviour or errors

Analytics are not used for advertising, profiling, personalisation, or resale.

2. Analytics technology used

Velohost uses Microsoft Clarity as its sole analytics and behavioural insight tool.

No additional analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers) are used.

3. How Microsoft Clarity is configured

Microsoft Clarity is configured in a privacy-respecting manner.

Configuration includes:

  • No advertising or cross-site tracking
  • Automatic masking of form fields and inputs
  • No intentional collection of personal identifiers
  • Use of aggregated session insights only

Clarity data is used only to understand high-level interaction patterns and usability issues.

4. Consent and lawful basis

Where required by law, analytics are enabled only after user consent via Velohost’s consent management system.

Users may accept, decline, or withdraw analytics consent at any time through available consent controls.

5. Data collected by analytics

Analytics data may include:

  • Page interactions and navigation flows (aggregated)
  • Viewport and device type information
  • Session-level interaction metadata

Velohost does not intentionally collect names, email addresses, IP-based profiles, or unique user identifiers via analytics.

6. Data storage and retention

Analytics data is stored and processed by Microsoft Clarity in accordance with Microsoft’s security and compliance controls.

Velohost does not export or combine analytics data with other data sources for profiling or identification.

7. No advertising or profiling

Velohost does not:

  • Run advertising campaigns
  • Use remarketing or retargeting
  • Create user profiles
  • Sell or share analytics data

Analytics are strictly operational and improvement-focused.

8. Relationship to the Privacy Policy

This Analytics Policy should be read alongside the Privacy Policy , which explains broader data handling practices.

9. Changes to this policy

This Analytics Policy may be updated to reflect changes in analytics configuration, legal requirements, or platform practices.

Continued use of Velohost services constitutes acceptance of the current version.
