Transparency Policy

Velohost is built on clarity, neutrality, and openness. This policy explains how decisions are made, how tools are designed, and what influences are deliberately excluded.

Effective date: 01 January 2026

1. Purpose of this policy

Transparency is essential to trust. This policy exists to explain how Velohost operates, what incentives it does or does not accept, and how information presented by tools should be interpreted.

Velohost aims to make infrastructure behaviour understandable without hidden agendas or commercial distortion.

2. Independence and neutrality

Velohost operates independently and is not owned, controlled, or sponsored by hosting providers, registrars, certificate authorities, email vendors, or infrastructure platforms.

Tool outputs are not influenced by commercial relationships, partnerships, or payments.

3. No paid rankings or placements

Velohost does not sell rankings, priority placement, endorsements, or “preferred” results.

Where tools compare configurations or behaviours, results are derived solely from observable technical data and documented standards.

4. No affiliate influence

Velohost does not participate in affiliate marketing schemes for hosting, email, security, or infrastructure services.

Links to external documentation or vendors are provided for reference only and do not constitute endorsements.

5. Funding and sustainability

Many Velohost tools are available at no cost.

Some optional features may have a small charge to support infrastructure, development, and operational sustainability.

These charges are not tied to influencing results or visibility and exist solely to keep the platform running and improving.

6. Tool behaviour and limitations

Velohost tools analyse publicly observable behaviour and configuration data at a point in time.

Results are informational and may change as infrastructure, standards, or configurations evolve.

Outputs should not be interpreted as guarantees, certifications, or compliance determinations.

7. Open standards and documentation

Where possible, Velohost references open standards, RFCs, and publicly documented protocols.

The platform avoids proprietary scoring systems or undisclosed weighting models that obscure how conclusions are reached.

8. Corrections and feedback

Velohost welcomes corrections, clarifications, and responsible feedback relating to tool behaviour or documentation accuracy.

Issues can be reported via [email protected] .
